Spotify’s response 10/02/2024
I understand Spotify for podcasters change is not easy to accept on the feature music + talk. Don’t worry I’m here to help you find an alternative way to create your new episodes.
After checking the information, while our recording and creation tools are going away, Spotify for Podcasters is still a great way to host and distribute your podcast to Spotify and external platforms, learn and interact with your audience, and monetize your show – all for free.
In addition, Riverside is now natively available in the Spotify for Podcasters web product for seamless audio and video recording and editing.
And regarding the music + talk episode creation, we will make this as a feedback and we’ll pass this request along to our product team.
Rest assured, our features will have better functionality/usability than before.
We’re always working on new ways to improve Spotify for podcasters and really appreciate your feedback on this! I hope you will continue to use the app and see it get even better in the future

Alex Davis, host of Mandurah Talk & Radio, emphasized the importance of supporting Australian music artists, particularly those in here in Western Australia. Due to the removal of music-playing tools from the podcast platform, playing music on will require some costly copyright agreements, rendering it financially impractical. However, Mr Davis expressed a desire to feature more local musicians on a new show, thereby bolstering support for the local community. ‘STAY UPDATED.”
